On or about June 24, 2004, at or near 727 East 111 th Street, Cook County Circuit Court Branch 38, Police Officer Yvonne P. Danzy-Cooper, while off duty, committed the offense of Official Misconduct, in that as a public employee and in her official capacity, she knowingly performed an act which she knew she was forbidden by law to perform, in that she committed the offense of Obstructing Justice, to wit: she falsely represented to Assistant State's Attorney Bronwyn Sears that she was the arresting officer on Pierre Cooper's case, in order to obtain possession of the Cook County State's Attorney's court file related to a charge against Mr. Cooper for retail theft, and/or she obtained control over Pierre Cooper's court file under false pretenses, and/or she removed Mr. Cooper's hand-written statement from the court file that she obtained from Assistant State's Attorney Bronwyn Sears, in violation of Chapter 720 ILCS 5/33-3(b).

On or about June 24, 2004, at or near 727 East 111 th Street, Cook County Circuit Court Branch 38, Police Officer Yvonne P. Danzy-Cooper, while off duty, committed the offense of Official Misconduct, in that as a public employee, in her official capacity and with an intent to obtain a personal advantage for herself or another, she performed an act in excess of her lawful authority, to wit: she falsely represented to Assistant State's
Attorney Bronwyn Sears that she was the arresting officer on Pierre Cooper's case, in order to obtain possession of the Cook County State's Attorney's court file related to a charge against Mr. Cooper for retail theft,
in violation of Chapter 720 ILCS 5/33-3(c).

On or about June 24, 2004, at or near 727 t ast 111' Street, Cook County Circuit Court Branch 38, Police Officer Yvonne P. Danzy-Cooper, while off duty, committed the offense of Obstruc4ng Justice, in that with an intent to obstruct the prosecution of Pierre Cooper for the offense of retail theft, she knowingly furnished false inforniation, to wit: she falsely represented to Assistant State's Attorney Bronwyn Sears that she was the arresting officer on Pierre Cooper's case, in order to obtain possession of the Cook County State's Attorney's court file related to a charge against Mr. Cooper for retail theft, and thereafter obtained control over the court
file, in violation of Chapter 720 ILCS 5/31-4(a).

On or about June 24, 2004, at or near 727 East 111 th Street, Cook County Circuit Court Branch 38, Police Officer Yvonne P. Danzy-Cooper, while off duty, committed the offense of Obstructing Justice, in that with an
intent to obstruct the prosecution of Pierre Cooper for the offense of retail theft, she knowingly concealed and/or disguised physical evidence, to wit: after obtaining possession of Pierre Cooper's court file under false
pretenses, she removed Mr. Cooper's hand-written statement from the court file that she obtained from Assistant State's Attorney Bronwyn Sears and then returned the file without Mr. Cooper's hand-written statement, in violation of Chapter 720 ILCS 5/31-4(a).

file related to a charge against Pierre Cooper for retail theft, under false pretenses, and thereafter left the court room with the file.

On or about June 24, 2004, at or near 727 East 111t h Street, Cook County Circuit Court Branch 38, Police Officer Yvonne P. Danzy-Cooper, while off duty, obtained control over the Cook County State's Attorney's court
file related to a charge against Pierre Cooper for retail theft, and later returned the file without the hand-written statement of Pierre Cooper, which the file contained when she obtained it from Assistant State's Attorney Bronvvyn Sears.

Danzy-Cooper, while off duty, appeared in her Chicago Police Department uniform, and falsely represented to Assistant State's Attorney Bronwyn Sears, that she was the arresting officer on Pierre Cooper's case, in order to obtain possession of the Cook County State's Attorney's court file related to a charge against Pierre Cooper for retail theft, and/or she obtained control over Pierre Cooper's court file and/or she removed Mr. Cooper's hand-written statement from the court file.
