Rule 1	1 count	Violation of any law or ordinance. Count 1 Not Guilty On or about July 10, 2005, at approximately 0557 hours, on or near Interstate 90,at or near Kimball Avenue, Police Officer William P. Janson drove and/or was inactual physical control of a vehicle while the alcohol concentration in his blood was more than 80 mg/d1, or the applicable legal limit in Illinois, and/or while under the influence of alcohol, thereby violating 625 ILCS 5/11-501(a)(1) and/or(a)(2).

Count 2 Not Guilty Count II: On or about July 10, 2005, Police Officer William P. Janson was intoxicated while off duty, thereby impeding the Department's efforts to achieve its policv and goals and/or bringing discredit upon the Department.
Rule 6	1 count	Disobedience of an order or directive, whether written or oral. Count 1 Not Guilty Police William P. Janson, Star Number 14712, is charged with violating Rule 6,"Disobedience of an order or directive, whether written or oral," in the following instance:On or about August 23, 2005, Police Officer William P. Janson failed to immediately submit a To-From-Subject Report to the Chicago Police Department informing the Department that his Illinois Driver's License was suspended, thereby violating General Order 97-02-I, Section III, Subsection A.l.f.
Rule 15	1 count	Intoxication on or off duty. Count 1 Not Guilty On or about July 10, 2005, Police Officer William P. Janson was intoxicated while off duty.
Rule 20	1 count	Failure to submit immediately a written report that any member, including self, is under investigation by any law enforcement agency other than the Chicago Police Department. Count 1 Not Guilty On or about July 10, 2005, Police Officer William P. Janson failed to immediately submit a written report to the Chicago Police Department infonning the Department that on or about July 10, 2005, he was an-ested and/or placed under investigation by the Illinois State Police.

On April 27, 2007, the Superintendent of Police filed with the Police Board of the City of
Chicago charges against Police Officer William P. Janson, Star No. 14712, recommending that he be suspended from the Chicago Police Department for a period of sixty (60) days for violating
several Rules of Conduct (a copy of the charges and specifications is attached hereto as Exhibit A).
On February 8, 2008, the Superintendent moved to withdraw the charges against the
Respondent because the Police Department entered into an agreement to settle and resolve all issues regarding this matter.
The Police Board of the City of Chicago, having considered the Superintendent's motion
to withdraw the charges against the Respondent, hereby orders that the Superintendent's motion is granted.
