Washington committed the offense of Official Misconduct, in that he, a public employee in his official capacity, a Chicago Police Officer, knowingly performed an act which he knew he was forbidden by law to perform, to wit: violation of Chicago Police Department's Rule and Regulations Rule 14, prohibiting the making of a false report, thereby violating Chapter 720 ILCS, Section 5/33-3(B) Count 2 From on or about October 31, 1996 to on or about April 17, 1997, on one or more occasions, Police Officer Donald T. Washington committed the offense of Official Misconduct, in that he, a public employee in his official capacity, a Chicago Police Officer, knowingly performed an act which he knew he was forbidden by law to perform, to wit: Theft, thereby violating Chapter 720 ILCS, Section 5/33-3(B); Count 3 On or about April 17, 1997, Police Officer Donald T. Washington committed the offense of Theft, in that he knowingly obtained or exerted unauthorized control over United States Currency of a value less than three hundred dollars, the property of the Chicago Police Department, intending to deprive the Chicago Police Department permanently of the use and benefit of said property, thereby violating Chapter 720 ILCS, Section 5/16-1(a) (1); Count 4 n or about April 14, 1997, Police Officer Donald T. Washington committed the offense of Theft, in that he knowingly obtained or exerted unauthorized control over United States Currency of a value less than three hundred dollars, the property of the Chicago Police Department, intending to deprive the Chicago Police Department permanently of the use and benefit of said property, thereby violating Chapter 720 ILCS, Section 5/16-1(a) (1); Count 5 n or about March 17, 1997, Police Officer Donald T.
