On or about January 4, 2011, the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board decertified your previous certification and ability to practice as a law enforcement officer in Illinois under 50 ILCS 705/6.1, as a result of your being found guilty on or about June 11, 2009, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, in case 08 CR 276, of one count under 18 USC 242, "Deprivation of Rights under Color of Law," a conviction deemed to be a decertification under the Illinois Police Training Act, 50 ILCS 705/1, et seq., thereby impeding the Department's efforts to achieve its policy and goals and/or bringing discredit upon the Department.
