Melvin Bush

Police Officer Melvin Bush, Star Number 3478, is charged with violating Rule 1, "Violation of any law or ordinance," in the following instances: Count I:

On or about June 3, 2001, at approximately 2150 hours, at or near 10044 S. Emerald Avenue, while off duty, committed the offense of Domestic Battery and/or Battery, in that she, among other things, grabbed Pamela Brown by her arms and/or dragged her face and/or body down the outside front stairs of her residence and/or struck her face with his fist one or more times in violation of Chapter 720 ILCS 5/12-3.2(A)(1) and/or (2), and/or Chapter 720 ILCS 5/12-3;

On or about June 3, 2001, at approximately 2150 hours, at or near 10044 S. Emerald Avenue, Police Officer Melvin Bush, while off duty, brought discredit upon the department and impeded the Department's efforts to achieve its policy and goals in that when he, among other things, failed to render first air or obtain medical care for Pamela Brown's injuries during a domestic altercation with her;

On or about June 3, 2001, at approximately 2150 hours, at or near 10044 S. Emerald Avenue, Police Officer Melvin Bush, while off duty, brought discredit upon the department and impeded the Department's efforts to achieve its policy and goals in that he, among other things, pushed and/or pulled the front screen door of Pamela Brown's residence and/or damaged the front screen door; On or about June 3, 2001, at approximately 2150 hours, at or near 10044 S. Emerald Avenue, Police Officer Melvin Bush, while off duty, brought discredit upon the department and impeded the Department's efforts to achieve its policy and goals in that he, among other things, pushed and/or pulled the front screen door of Pamela Brown's residence and/or damaged the front screen door;

On or about June 3, 2001, at approximately 2150 hours, at or near 10044 S. Emerald Avenue, Police Officer Melvin Bush, while off duty, brought discredit upon the department and impeded the Department's efforts to achieve its policy and goals in that when he, among other things, failed to render first aid or obtain medical care for Pamela Brown's injuries during a domestic altercation with her.
